AUA10 - Level 3 Certificate of Competence in Utility Arboriculture

This is an Independantly Assessed qualification.

Type of Learner: This is suitable if you are a specialist worker maintaining trees close to overhead powerlines.

Qualification Overview: The basic unit covers essential electrical awareness for anyone coming on site during a tree work operation (recognition of electrical components, knowledge of relevant legislation and safe working practices, etc.) Further units are available to cover the safe use of insulated tools to prune trees with lines live or during line
shut down, the survey of a power line requiring tree-work and producing the appropriate instructions.

What you need to do: It is assessed by a practical test. The candidate requires re-certification every three years.
