It provides over 40 distance learning courses in all aspects of animal care from canine, feline and equine psychology through to pet sitting, pet bereavement counselling and kennel and companion animal management. Most courses are accredited by the Open College Network

Short courses

The Animal Care College provides a series of courses which, with appropriate Occupational Competencies, support National Vocational Qualification Awards at Level 3. The structure of the Level 3 Units provides a series of short course programmes which also stand alone as useful single sections and which are likely to be of interest to anyone seriously studying animal health, care and welfare. The courses are tutored by experts within their particular fields. Each course except Canine/Feline First Aid covers the subject with respect to both dogs and cats though students may specialise in one species if preferred.
